El Paso, Texas – In the highly anticipated main event of Ring Wars 15, El Paso’s own Stephanie Han delivered a stunning knockout over Hannah Terlep in the first round to claim the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) lightweight title. The bout, held at the El Paso County Coliseum on Saturday night, was scheduled for 10 rounds, but Han wasted no time making her mark. In the final seconds of the opening round, Han unleashed a flurry of powerful right-hand shots, landing four consecutive punches that sent Terlep—ranked No. 10 in the WBA’s lightweight division—crashing to the canvas. The knockout came at 1:59 of the round, just one second before the bell was set to ring. With the victory, Han, now undefeated at 10-0 (3 KOs), secured her first world title in dominant fashion.
For Terlep, the defeat marks her second consecutive knockout loss—a significant setback for the lightweight contender.

“I am so happy. I have trained so hard these past couple of years and when I found out I was going to fight for a title a couple of months ago, I trained like no other,” Han said. “I am so proud that all the hard work has paid off and now I can say that I am a world champion.”
